What's your favourite energy boost: Double Red Bull or Double A Duracell?

I have recently been working with a theatre owner to put together a brand new show. During these past few weeks we have went through many meeting, proposals and presentations. I have had a chance to meet a lot of unique people on his team. One of them was Mike who was applying to become the General Manager of the theatre. The things I noticed about Mike was that he was timid and hesitant to offer advice or input when he was asked for his opinion.

After a few weeks of meetings we were able to put together a fantastic plan for a show! The next step was to visit the theatre to look over the backstage, dressing rooms and rigging to determine if it can accommodate all the various performers. There were quite a few challenges that we would have to overcome to make sure everyone would be able to perform.

I had a chance to meet the stage manager and a gentlemen name Bob to brainstorm ideas for overcoming these dilemmas. From the very beginning Bob began suggesting ideas on how we could improve the situation and he immediately took charge of the situation. After conversation with him I found out that he was applying for the General Manager position as well.

Two people applied for the same position and it should be pretty clear by now who got hired. Bob was the one that put together the contract for our show as the General Manager as the theatre.

Life gives us many excuses to be doubtful, tired, and unmotivated. We can blame our age, the weather, stress, a bad economy, or other people on different things that happen in life. Here is what I heard recently "The person with the highest energy always wins! If you look in sports, business, entertainment or any other area you’ll find that the STARS, always have HIGHEST energy. You won’t find Richard Branson falling asleep at his desk, just as you won’t find Tiger Woods struggling to get out of bed every morning or Oprah Winfrey complaining that she is too tired."

Next time I'm doing an interview or presentation I will make sure that I am the one with the HIGHEST energy.
